Customize Your Bible Rebind – Design Features & Options
When considering a Bible rebind, you have several options to enhance its durability and appearance. Customize with features like ribbons, decorative stamping, and edge coloring to personalize your Bible to your liking and intended use. Each choice can contribute to making your Bible a cherished and functional item for years to come.
-
Cowhide
Cowhide leather is a popular choice for Bible rebinding due to its durability, flexibility, and elegant appearance. It resists wear and develops a unique patina over time, enhancing both the look and longevity of the Bible. Its natural grain and flexibility also ensure a smooth, comfortable handling experience.
-
Goatskin
Goatskin leather is highly favored for Bible rebinding due to its exceptional softness, durability, and distinctive texture. Its fine grain and supple nature offer a luxurious feel, while its natural resilience helps the Bible endure frequent handling without damage. Additionally, its flexibility ensures smooth opening and closing, making it both a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice for a high-quality Bible rebinding.
-
Lambskin Liner
Lambskin is an exceptional choice for lining Bible rebinds due to its unmatched softness, lightweight feel, and supple texture. It adds a luxurious interior touch that complements the durability of a full leather rebind, creating a refined experience every time the Bible is opened. Its smooth finish not only protects the pages but also enhances the overall elegance and tactile comfort of the finished piece—making it as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
-
End Pages
End Pages are the fist and last pages on a text block. The colors shown are the most common colors we use that match most leathes very well. Other colors and printed papers can be requested.
-
Yapp Size
Yapp size pertains to the amount of leather overhanging the text block. A standard yapp measures approximately 3/8 inch, a semi-full yapp is around 5/8 inch, and a full yapp covers the entire block when folded over. Pictured is a Full Yapp.

Cover Tooling
Tooling involves the addition of lines to the exterior cover of the Bible. We offer the option of crafting a single or double line encircling the perimeter of the cover. Additionally, Bibles can be crafted without any tooling lines if preferred.
-
Spine Stamping
The spine's cover stamping is what distinguishes the Bible. Customize it with your desired text, whether it's "Holy Bible," a specific translation, or any other custom inscription. We also offer the option to stamp on the inside cover.

Raised Hubs

Page Dye/Art Gilt
Page dyeing is the art of tinting the edges of a Bible’s pages, adding both beauty and protection. Whether it’s a bold black-over-gold, a rich cobalt blue, or a subtle custom hue, dyed edges elevate the look of a rebind.
