Customize Your Rebind
Design Options.
Every rebind is built to your specifications. Choose from hand stitching styles, cover tooling, spine stamping, page dye, yapp size, end papers, ribbons, and more — each detail considered, none of it an afterthought.
Every option below can be mixed and matched. There’s no single right answer — just the combination that makes your Bible yours.
Construction
How It’s Built
The foundational choices that determine how your Bible feels, opens, and holds up over decades of use.
Hand Stitching
Every Bible is hand-stitched using traditional bookbinding techniques. No machines, no shortcuts. The stitch is both structural and decorative — you can choose the thread color to complement or contrast your leather.
Yapp Size
Yapp refers to how much the leather overhangs the text block. A standard yapp is approximately 3/8 inch. A semi-full yapp is around 5/8 inch. A full yapp covers the entire block when folded over — offering maximum protection for daily carry.
End Pages
End pages are the first and last pages of the text block, visible when the Bible is opened. We offer the most common colors that pair well with most leathers. Other colors and printed papers are available on request.
Every detail is a decision. We help you make ones you’ll still love in thirty years.
Exterior
Cover & Spine
The options that shape the outer character of your Bible — from subtle tooled lines to bold stamped text on the spine.
Cover Tooling
Tooling adds decorative lines to the exterior cover. We offer a single or double line encircling the perimeter, or no tooling at all for a clean, unadorned look. A small but defining detail.
Spine Stamping
Custom text stamped into the spine of your Bible. Common choices include “Holy Bible,” the translation, your name, or any inscription you choose. We also offer stamping on the inside cover.
Raised Hubs
Raised hubs are structural ridges that run across the spine, dividing it into panels. A classic feature of traditional hand-bound books, they add visual depth and a distinctly heirloom character to the finished Bible.
Tooled Hubs
Tooled hubs add decorative detail to the hub panels on the spine. Where raised hubs create structure, tooled hubs add ornamentation — a refined finish that catches the light and elevates the overall design.
Finishing
The Final Details
The finishing touches that complete the rebind — the details people notice when they open the Bible and find their place.
Gilt Line
A decorative gilt border tooled onto the interior liner of the cover. The gilt line box adds a refined, formal finish to the inside of your Bible — a subtle detail that elevates the feel every time the cover is opened.
Page Dye & Art Gilt
Page dyeing tints the edges of the Bible’s pages — adding both beauty and protection. Options range from a bold black-over-gold to a rich cobalt blue or a subtle custom hue. Dyed edges transform how a closed Bible looks on a shelf or in hand.
Ribbons
We use Berisford double-sided satin ribbons made in England — available in a wide range of colors. Add one or several. Ribbon color is a small choice that quietly ties the whole Bible together.
